RFP Overview

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for speakers for ACCP: The Conference 2019. ACCP is seeking conference speakers for both general sessions and learning labs (breakouts) who have the ability to be engaging while educating conference participants. Please read the entire document for background information and details. Speaker proposals are due: July 27, 2018.

About ACCP

Founded in 2005, ACCP is the sole membership-based organization chartered to champion the Corporate Citizenship professional. ACCP connects members to information, peers and resources and cultivates educational opportunities that promote better stewardship of corporate resources to magnify social and business impacts.

About ACCP: The Conference

ACCP: The Conference is like no other meeting. It has become one of the most significant professional learning events in its field. Each year, The Conference offers participants an education and an opportunity to interact with fellow corporate citizenship professionals. Participants walk away with principles they can immediately apply in the workplace so that they may confidently navigate and excel in their profession. Topics differ year-to-year, following trends and capturing the evolution of the field. Speakers take part in panel discussions or provide independent presentations that provoke thought leadership in the field.

Who are the attendees?

ACCP: The Conference is attended by 240+ corporate citizenship professionals. Position levels include managers, supervisors and vice presidents. Job titles include Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, Director of Community Relations, Corporate Citizenship Manager, CSR Director, among others. The ratio of women to men is about 70:30.


Preferred Presentation Style

  • Minimal slide dependence as well as minimal slides (if applicable)
  • Imagery heavy aka non-text heavy slides
  • Crowd engagement (our audience likes to talk!)
  • High comfort level facilitating sessions
  • Resources (slides, handouts, job aides, etc.) to share with audience post-event

Speaker Responsibilities

  • Work with ACCP to discuss topic and audience needs and tailor content appropriately
  • Return a signed speaker agreement and provide all items requested
  • Respect deadlines set forth by ACCP
  • Engage participants through relevant engaging educational presentations
IMPORTANT: Please note that sales presentations and any solicitation of conference attendees is expressly and strictly prohibited. Our rule of thumb is that participants should be able to take away key learning points and action items without having to purchase any item, tool or service.

ACCP Responsibilities

  • Inform speakers of selection decisions on or before August 31, 2018
  • Promote speakers and their sessions (if applicable)
  • Register participants
  • Facilitate a collaborative environment
  • Provide speakers with necessary AV material or pre-arranged special accommodations
