Jaime Barclay is manager of corporate responsibility at Symantec Corporation, the global leader in cyber security, and deputy director of the Symantec Foundation. She joined Symantec in 2005 as the administrative assistant to the public affairs team. Not long after, she discovered a passion for aligning Symantec’s resources of people, product, and profit with the needs of the communities surrounding the company’s offices.
Since then, she has worked with all aspects of the community relations program including employee engagement, cash and in-kind donations. In her current role, she oversees the global implementation of the community investment efforts, which has grown to be a $24 million cash and software donation portfolio impacting more than 20,000 nonprofits annually.
This includes overseeing the Symantec Cyber Career Connection, an impact driven workforce development program focused on filling the need for qualified entry level cyber security professionals with people of color, women, and veterans.
Barclay joined Symantec after teaching in K-8 public education. She holds a Masters of Education in elementary education from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Miami University.
