ACCP
brings corporations that focus on specific topics together to share
strategies and facilitate a coordinated approach to solving
critical issues. Resource Groups include:
- Africa
– seeks to raise awareness about the challenges in Africa and the
impact that they have not only in the corporate sector, but in
society as a whole
- Disaster
Relief – focuses on five major areas, including
defining a disaster, developing standards on preparedness and best
practices, relief/recovery/rebuild, nonprofit partners, domestic
vs. international, and communication response
- Education
– focuses on ways to improve educational initiatives and funding in
the maths and sciences
- Environment
– analyzes environmental issues and develops strategies that
companies can implement to achieve corporate citizenship
objectives
- Hunger
– focuses on hunger and food security issues within the United
States; this resource group examines funding strategies, including
nutrition and food assistance programs
- Military
– focuses on the most useful and practical ways to provide help to
those serving in our armed forces, as well as their families
