Orlando, nicknamed "The City Beautiful," is best known for having a significant amount of theme park type attractions including Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando. These attractions as well as its pleasant climate help make Orlando a popular tourist attraction both domestically and internationally. Orlando was the most visited American city in 2009 by Forbes. In addition to the vast amount of tourist attractions, Central Florida is also home to the NBA’s Orlando Magic.
During the spring, Orlando temperatures are warm but still enjoyable. The average high temperature for March is around 78 degrees Fahrenheit with the lows in the mid-50s. Rainfall starts to increase in March while humidity stays relatively low. When traveling to the Orlando area, it's a good idea to pack rain jackets and umbrellas as quick afternoon showers are a regular occurrence.
