Dawn joined ACCP in October 2010 as communications & marketing manager and promoted to director in January 2013. Dawn is responsible for the development and execution of strategic communications plans, including electronic communications, social media and print publications. She also serves as manager of ACCP’s brand standards and spearheads the organization’s media relations.
Dawn has served in various communications and public relations positions throughout her career. Most recently, Dawn was responsible for managing all marketing and communications, as well as account, project and staff management for Central Florida based software company, Solodev. This included supervision of national and regional Website launches for brands such as Stein Mart, Galaxy Nutritional Foods, netForensics and Florida’s Blood Centers.
Prior to Solodev, Dawn owned her own business which provided strategic event planning, public relations and marketing counsel to a national client base including such distinguished clientele as AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, LP and the Texas Department of Transportation. During this time, Dawn’s projects included implementing national and regional promotional campaigns to educate target audiences, launch new products and increase market penetration for clients.
Dawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida in Advertising & Public Relations. She is actively involved in the community as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, serving as the co-chair of the 2011 Cattle Baron’s Ball. Dawn also sits on the board of directors of the Public Relations Society of America Orlando Regional chapter.
