The Details

You'll learn about the history, culture and current events of Portland. Your tour will start with a drive through part of the Pearl District to learn about the history of the iconic Powell Bookstore and then hop off at the Portland International Rose Test Garden.

Next, see the Portland that the locals live and has inspired the expression "Keep Portland Weird." This off-the-beaten-path tour takes you into neighborhoods where you’ll see the specialty shops, theaters and food cart pods that Portlanders use. You’ll travel down Mississippi Avenue to see a center dedicated to recycling old houses, a store that sells over 100 seasoning salts, bitters, and chocolates, and a store where you can find every light bulb ever made.

After Mississippi Avenue, you’ll head over to Alberta Street, where you’ll see the Tiny House Hotel. This street is filled with history that your tour guide will share with you.

Finally, you will drive the historic Columbia River Highway and visit Maltnomah Falls, the number one attraction in all of Portland. You will have the time to stroll up to the bridge that stands below the fall. What a scenic sight!
